Community Guidelines

    Last updated: May 05, 2025

BTS is an exclusive platform for verified creators to create, share, and earn on their own terms. We're building a trusted community where content thrives—and that only happens when everyone upholds the highest standards.

Our platform is designed to empower creators, protect fans, and foster a space built on respect, originality, and freedom. We operate with a simple philosophy: content without compromise, within clear, responsible boundaries. No hate, no violence, no minors, no harm—ever.

These Community Guidelines exist to set the standard. They apply to everyone on BTS—creators, fans, and partners alike. They're rooted in fundamental principles of respect, safety, free expression, and privacy. We stand firmly with global human rights and are committed to upholding these values across our platform.

BTS is different — and that's intentional. We're selective about who joins, serious about maintaining quality, and relentless about protecting our community's trust. Every decision we make is with one goal in mind: to create the world's best platform to buy and sell content.

If you have questions about these Guidelines, your application, or anything else, reach out to us— info@behindthescenes.com.

    General Rules

We protect our community—no exceptions. Break the rules or act in bad faith, and you're out. BTS reserves the right to suspend, ban, or take action against anyone at any time. If you believe you have been wrongly accused, you may appeal the process by emailing info@behindthescenes.com.

Be Respectful and Inclusive: Treat everyone with respect. BTS welcomes creators and fans from all backgrounds - influencers, athletes, celebrities, entrepreneurs, artists, and more. Harassment, hate speech, or discrimination of any kind have no place here. Speak and act as if you're in a professional setting where everyone's differences are respected.

Exclusive, Trust-Based Community: Because BTS is by invitation or application-only, we rely on our members to uphold these standards. Only trusted and verified users are allowed in. Don't abuse this exclusivity - no sharing your account or inviting people who might violate the rules. Professional behavior is expected at all times. This means communicating courteously, keeping your promises, and handling disputes calmly. Content on BTS is designed to stay on the platform, and should not be reused, recycled or resold on any other platforms—please keep content on the platform where possible.

Keep Content Legal and Compliant: You are free to share a wide range of digital content - videos, photos, audio, and files - but everything must be legal and within our guidelines. Follow all applicable laws (local and international) when you post. If it's illegal in the "real world," it's illegal on BTS. This includes things like child exploitation, extreme violence, illicit drug sales, and anything that would get you in trouble with the law. When in doubt, err on the side of caution or ask us for guidance.

Mature Content Policy: BTS is currently a platform for premium content across a wide range of creative fields — fitness, fashion, business, music, education, lifestyle, and more. We do not allow overtly sexual content or graphic adult material at this time. However, we recognize that not all mature content is the same. We understand that there are legitimate creators working in fashion, art, wellness, and sensual content who deserve platforms, too. We review all creator applications on a case-by-case basis, evaluating the merit of the content, your brand, your audience, and alignment with BTS values. While we do not currently permit overtly explicit content, we may still consider creators who produce artistic, tasteful, or professional content that toes the line.

Original Content and Ownership: Only share content that you own or have permission to share. Plagiarism, piracy, and impersonation are forbidden. Don't pretend to be someone you're not, and don't post content that isn't yours. Protect other people's privacy and rights just as you expect yours to be protected (more on privacy below). If you're showing someone else (for example, featuring a friend in a video or sharing a collaboration), make sure they know and agree to be on BTS and are aware of these guidelines.

No Spam or Scams: Keep BTS functional and friendly by not spamming or scamming. Don't repeatedly post the same content or send unwanted messages to lots of users. Don't try to trick others with get-rich-quick schemes, phishing links, or fraudulent offers. All financial transactions on BTS should be honest and transparent - no cheating the system or each other.

When in Doubt, Reach Out: These rules are here to protect you and the community. If you're ever unsure whether something is okay to post or do on BTS, ask us! We're here to help. And if you see someone violating the guidelines or behaving in a harmful way, let us know. You can report content or contact our team at info@behindthescenes.com. We investigate reports confidentially and thoroughly to keep our community safe.

Remember: BTS is about connecting creators and their fans in a safe, trusted space. By following these general rules, you help us maintain the exclusive, inclusive, and professional vibe that makes BTS special.

    Detailed Policies & Legal Compliance

Rules aren't just rules—they're law. We operate globally, and that means playing by the book in every region. If your content breaks local or international laws, we'll take it down—and you with it.

Operating Entity & Jurisdiction: Behind The Scenes (BTS) is operated by GREENROOM CO, located at 1111B S Governors Ave, Dover, DE 19901, USA. When you use BTS, you are entering into an agreement with GREENROOM CO and are subject to U.S. laws (federal law and Delaware state law), as well as other international laws as applicable. Our Community Guidelines are part of the binding Terms of Service that you agree to. We have crafted these rules to comply with legal requirements in the United States, the United Kingdom, Australia, the European Union, New Zealand, and other jurisdictions where we operate or where our users reside. In other words, we've tried to meet or exceed the most stringent rules out there to keep everyone safe and to keep BTS on the right side of the law.

Age Restrictions and Minor Safety: You must be at least 18 years old to create an account as a creator on BTS. We do not allow minors (under 18) to participate in monetized content creation. We may require age verification documentation to ensure compliance. These measures are in line with laws protecting minors online (such as COPPA in the U.S. for under-13 users, and various age-rating regulations abroad). They also help us prevent child sexual abuse material (CSAM) and other exploitative content - which is strictly illegal everywhere. Any attempt to upload, share, or solicit sexual content involving minors (including fictional depictions or role-play scenarios that sexualize minors) is illegal and forbidden, and will be met with immediate account termination and referral to law enforcement authorities. We cooperate with organizations and authorities worldwide to report and combat child exploitation.

Content Laws and Standards: Because BTS supports user-generated content globally, we have to enforce a combination of U.S. law and other international content standards:

Obscenity and Sexual Content Laws: BTS is committed to maintaining a platform that adheres to strict legal and ethical standards globally. We do not allow overtly sexual content, perverted adult material, or content that could be deemed extremely obscene under applicable laws. This includes, but is not limited to, content involving bestiality, necrophilia, non-consensual acts, or any form of sexual violence. We also strictly prohibit content that promotes, solicits, or facilitates prostitution, sex trafficking, or exploitation of any kind. This approach aligns with regulations like FOSTA-SESTA in the U.S. and similar international standards aimed at preventing exploitation and protecting vulnerable individuals. While we recognize that mature content can be artistic and expressive, BTS maintains a conservative approach, requiring all creators to operate within clearly defined, lawful boundaries. Our guidelines are designed to foster a safe, professional, and creative space for all users.

Harassment, Hate Speech, and Discrimination: Many jurisdictions have laws or regulations against hate speech and harassment (for example, anti-discrimination laws in the EU and UK, or hate crimes statutes in the U.S.). Even where certain hateful speech might be legal (e.g., the U.S. First Amendment can protect some offensive speech), BTS chooses to prohibit hate and harassment as a matter of policy and community safety. We define hate speech as serious attacks or derogatory content directed at a person or group based on protected characteristics such as race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, or age. Content that includes slurs, epithets, or promotes violence or segregation against these groups is not allowed. This prohibition helps ensure we comply with international human rights principles and local laws that ban incitement of hatred. Harassment (targeted abuse, stalking, threats, bullying) is similarly prohibited and, in some cases, can violate laws (e.g., credible threats of violence or stalking can be illegal). BTS's stance is to remove such content and take action against offenders before it escalates. Users who engage in serious harassment or hate speech may be banned and, if appropriate, reported to authorities (for instance, if they issue violent threats).

Dangerous Organizations and Illegal Activities: We do not tolerate support or promotion of terrorist organizations, criminal enterprises, or extremist groups. U.S. law and many other countries outlaw providing "material support" to terrorist groups or inciting violence. Therefore, any content praising or aiding extremist or violent organizations (e.g., terrorist propaganda, recruiting materials, or hate group symbols used in support) is banned on BTS. Similarly, you may not use BTS to plan or encourage violent wrongdoing or crime. Any content that contains credible threats or plans of violence, bomb-making instructions, etc., will be removed and possibly reported to law enforcement. Encouraging self-harm or suicide is also not allowed; while not typically "illegal," it is dangerous and we have a duty of care to our users. If you or someone you know is struggling, please seek professional help - BTS is not a place for content that glorifies or encourages self-harm.

Intellectual Property Rights: We respect creators' rights over their own content and likewise require everyone to respect others' intellectual property. Uploading content that you don't own or haven't licensed (such as pirated videos, unlicensed music, or someone else's photos) can violate copyright laws - for example, the U.S. Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) and equivalent laws globally. GREENROOM CO complies with the DMCA and will respond to valid copyright infringement notices. If we receive a proper takedown notice for content you posted, we may remove that content and notify you. Repeat copyright infringers may have their accounts terminated in accordance with the law. So, always post only content that you created yourself or have explicit permission to use. Additionally, do not use BTS to distribute any illegal files or software (malware, pirated software, etc.). Users are also prohibited from impersonating others or infringing on trademarks - for instance, don't use someone else's logo or branding in a way that confuses people about who you are or that violates trademark law. Misrepresenting your identity or affiliation can constitute fraud or identity theft in some jurisdictions, so it's taken very seriously.

Privacy and Personal Data Laws: Privacy is a fundamental right protected by laws like the EU's General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), various privacy laws in US states, and similar regulations in countries like Australia and New Zealand. GREENROOM CO is committed to handling personal data lawfully and transparently. We collect and use personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy, and for purposes of GDPR and other laws, GREENROOM CO (address above) is the data controller for data provided to BTS. We implement appropriate security measures and only retain personal data as long as necessary. By law, you have certain rights over your data (access, deletion, etc.), and our Privacy section below explains how we honor those. Legally, users are also expected to respect others' privacy - some countries have laws against sharing someone's private information without consent (sometimes called doxxing if done maliciously). Posting someone's sensitive personal details can lead to civil or even criminal liability under harassment, stalking, or data protection laws. So our community rules against doxxing and privacy violations aren't just policy - they reflect legal boundaries.

Regional Compliance Highlights: We want to highlight a few specific regional regulations we adhere to:

United States: In addition to federal laws mentioned, we follow FCC and FTC guidelines where relevant (for example, truth-in-advertising rules if you post promotional content - you should disclose if something is an ad or sponsored). We also abide by U.S. sanctions laws (meaning you cannot use BTS to support countries or individuals sanctioned by the U.S. government).

United Kingdom: We align with the UK's Online Safety regulations and laws like the upcoming Online Safety Act, which require platforms to protect users (especially minors) from harmful content. For instance, explicit content is behind verification walls so that minors cannot access it, fulfilling UK age-verification expectations. We also remove any content that violates UK law, such as revenge pornography (which is illegal in the UK) or content that glorifies terrorism (illegal under the Terrorism Act).

European Union: Under the EU's Digital Services Act (DSA), BTS is committed to quickly removing illegal content once we're aware of it, and we maintain a mechanism for users to flag content and appeal our decisions. We also adhere to GDPR (as noted) for privacy, and we respect EU laws on hate speech and extremist content (which can be stricter than U.S. laws).

Australia and New Zealand: We comply with the Australian eSafety Commissioner guidelines and the Australian Classification Board standards. Content that would be rated RC (Refused Classification) or X18+ without proper controls is not allowed. This includes abhorrent violent material; Australia has laws requiring rapid removal of extremely violent content if it's streamed or posted. We similarly respect New Zealand's censorship laws (the Films, Videos, and Publications Classification Act) - any "objectionable" publication (like child abuse material, extreme cruelty, etc.) is banned on BTS and will be reported. We also keep in mind Australian and NZ privacy laws which protect personal information and require disclosure of data practices similar to GDPR.

Other Regions: Even if you are using BTS from a country not explicitly listed, you are required to follow your local laws too. If a certain type of content is illegal in your country, do not post it on BTS. We may geo-block or remove content that is acceptable in one region but unlawful in another, as needed to comply with local regulations. Ultimately, users are responsible for understanding and obeying the laws that apply to them in their home country in addition to BTS's global policies.

Enforcement and Consequences: BTS (GREENROOM CO) reserves the right to enforce these Community Guidelines at our discretion. What does enforcement look like?

    • We moderate content proactively and reactively. That means we use a mix of automated tools and human moderators to review content uploaded to BTS. If something potentially violates the rules, we may remove or restrict it and investigate.
    • If you violate the guidelines, we may take actions including: warning you (for a first-time or minor offense), removing or editing the offending content, suspending your ability to post, or terminating your account altogether. Serious violations (for example, posting illegal content, making credible violent threats, or continuously harassing someone) will result in immediate account termination without warning, including the indefinite withholding of creators remaining funds.
    • Illegal content or behavior may be reported to appropriate authorities. For instance, as mentioned, any child exploitation will be reported to law enforcement (and organizations like NCMEC). Threats of violence might be reported to police. We do not do this lightly, but we will comply with the law and protect our community.
    • We strive to be fair and transparent. If your content is removed or your account is affected due to a rules violation, we will notify you of the reason when possible. You will usually have an opportunity to appeal or explain if you believe we made a mistake. (For example, under the EU DSA, users have the right to appeal moderation decisions, and we extend that courtesy to all our users.) To appeal a decision or ask for re-evaluation, you can contact our support at info@behindthescenes.com with the details. Our Trust & Safety team will review your request promptly.
    • These guidelines may evolve. Laws change, and community standards can shift over time. BTS may update the Community Guidelines as needed. We will notify users of major changes, and the latest version will always be available on our website. Continuing to use BTS after an update means you accept the new guidelines. If you ever have questions about why a rule exists or how we interpret it, feel free to reach out for clarification.

    Acceptable Use Policy

Create, share, and earn—without crossing the line. Here's what flies and what gets you banned. Read it, remember it, respect it. When we say "content," we mean anything you upload or share (videos, photos, audio, files). "Conduct" refers to how you act and interact with others on and off the platform, in relation to the promotion of your BTS content. Below you'll find lists of what's allowed and what's not allowed:

    ✅ Allowed Content & Conduct

BTS celebrates creativity, diversity, and genuine connections. Here are examples of content and behaviors that are welcome or permitted on the platform (assuming they comply with the rest of the guidelines and the law):

Original Creative Works: Share your talents and passions! This includes vlogs, music recordings, artwork, photography, writing, podcasts, tutorials, behind-the-scenes footage, fitness and training videos, business advice, comedy skits, gaming streams - most types of digital content is allowed. We love that our creators range from artists and entrepreneurs to athletes and influencers. Originality is key. It should be content you created or have rights to. If you're collaborating or featuring someone else, please ensure you have their consent.

Sensual and Artistic Content: While BTS does not permit overtly sexual or explicit adult material, we understand that sensuality and artistic expression can overlap. Creators producing boundary-pushing content—such as artistic nudes, intimate storytelling, boudoir photography, sensual dance, or tasteful lingerie shoots—are welcome to apply. All such content must remain professional, artistic, and within the bounds of lawful expression. This means no overtly sexual acts, and no extreme graphic depictions. We encourage creators in these verticals to focus on aesthetic quality, storytelling, and artistic integrity, ensuring that their work aligns with the high standards of the BTS community. All creators should be prepared for a thorough vetting process, including verification of age and identity, to ensure full compliance with platform guidelines and relevant legal frameworks.

Promotion of Your Legitimate Businesses or Services: As a creator, you're allowed to promote your personal brand or business in your content. For example, if you're a musician, you can plug your new album. If you're a fitness trainer, you can mention your training programs. You can link to your official website or social media, and you can thank sponsors or partners in your content. However, make sure any promotion is truthful and not misleading (comply with advertising laws - e.g., disclose sponsored content). Also, don't direct users to engage in something that breaks our rules (like telling them to go download pirated content elsewhere or to harass someone on another platform - that wouldn't be allowed).

Resource Sharing (Legal & Appropriate): You may share files or resources with your community if it's done legally. For instance, a photographer might share a high-resolution image file for fans to download, or a music producer might share sample loops. This is allowed as long as you have rights to share those files and they don't contain anything malicious or illegal. Do not use file uploads to distribute pirated media, malware, personal data, or any prohibited content. If you're sharing educational content (like an e-book you wrote, or a PDF guide), that's totally fine and generally encouraged.

Parody, Satire, and Fan Works (Within Reason): We acknowledge that creative expression can include parody or fan art. Parody and satire are allowed as long as it's clear that it's a joke or commentary and not meant to deceive or defame. For example, doing a comedic impersonation in a skit is fine - claiming to actually be that person to trick people is not (that would be impersonation, which is not allowed). Fan art or fan fiction of popular characters is allowed provided it doesn't veer into disallowed content (e.g., sexualizing underage characters is not allowed, even if they're fictional). Always respect the original creators' rights; transformative fan content is usually okay, but outright reposting someone's art or content without adding anything new is not allowed.

Reporting and Engagement with Moderation: It might sound odd to list this under "Allowed Conduct," but we want to stress that helping us enforce the rules is encouraged. If you flag content that violates our guidelines or reach out to us with a genuine concern, you are doing the right thing and won't be penalized. We ask that you report responsibly (don't make false reports just to cause trouble for someone - that itself could become harassment). Also, constructive feedback to us - like suggestions to improve the platform or the rules - is welcome from the community. We consider our users partners in keeping BTS great.

Essentially, allowed content and conduct on BTS boils down to: Be creative, be yourself, and be respectful. Share content that you're proud of and that doesn't hurt others. Engage with others in good faith. If you stick to these principles, you're very likely within the bounds of what's allowed on BTS.

⛔ Not Allowed: Prohibited Content & Conduct

The following content types and behaviors are forbidden. Posting or engaging in these may result in content removal, account suspension, or legal action. This list is extensive but not necessarily exhaustive - use common sense: if something is harmful or illegal, it's not allowed even if not explicitly spelled out here. We've categorized them for clarity:

No Sexual Exploitation or Minors: We absolutely prohibit any content that involves the sexual exploitation of anyone under 18. This includes real or simulated child pornography (CSAM), sexualized depictions of minors (even if they're just drawings or CGI), and any form of grooming or sexual communication with minors. Even implying that an adult performer is "underage" in a sexual context (like role-playing a teen) is not allowed - we do not allow "age-play" that sexualizes minors. In addition, you may not use BTS to solicit sexual content or contact from minors, or to arrange any improper encounters. We also ban any content that depicts non-consensual sexual violence or exploitation of adults - for example, real or staged rape scenes, hidden camera sexual content, or sharing someone's private intimate images without consent (often called revenge porn). If it's a story or artwork dealing with these issues in an educational or advocacy context, it may be allowed in a non-gratifying manner (for instance, a documentary about surviving sexual assault is allowed; a video glorifying or graphically depicting assault is not). We have zero tolerance here: violating this rule will get you banned and reported.

No Hate Speech or Discrimination: Content that attacks or degrades a protected group is strictly not allowed. This includes using racial slurs, antisemitic or Islamophobic propaganda, homophobic or transphobic insults, misogynistic language, ableist mockery, or any other form of hate speech. You also cannot use stereotypes or harmful images (like Nazi symbols or KKK imagery) in a supportive or glorifying way. Criticism of a person or community should never be based on these inherent traits. We want an inclusive community. Even if you think something is a "joke," if it targets a protected group in a hateful way, don't post it. This applies to content you upload and interactions like comments or direct messages. Also, do not organize or encourage harassment of a group or individual based on these traits (that crosses into both hate and harassment). It's okay to discuss issues like racism or sexism in a meaningful way (e.g., in a social commentary video) but not to actually engage in those behaviors.

No Harassment, Bullying, or Personal Attacks: You should never engage in targeted harassment or encourage others to do so. This means:

    • No Bullying or Shaming: Don't post content intended to shame, insult, or belittle someone. This could be direct name-calling, slurs (as stated above), or mocking someone's personal characteristics (appearance, weight, intelligence, etc.). Even if someone is a public figure, sustained personal attacks or derogatory campaigns are not allowed. Critique ideas, not personal attributes.
    • No Threats or Incitement of Violence: You may not threaten to harm someone or encourage others to harm them. Phrases like "I'm going to kill you" (even if meant figuratively) or "Someone should teach that person a lesson" can be taken seriously and are forbidden. Similarly, you cannot use BTS to incite violence, for example saying "we should attack [a group/person]."
    • No Doxxing: As mentioned, doxxing is the act of publishing someone's private personal information (address, phone number, workplace, etc.) without permission. This is a severe violation of privacy and safety. Even if you're upset at someone, do not share their personal details. This includes private conversations or images that they did not consent to making public.
    • No Organized Harassment or "Dogpiling": Don't coordinate or encourage a group of people to go after someone. Using BTS to rally others to abuse an individual (on BTS or on another platform) is not allowed. If you have a conflict with someone, deal with it maturely or involve our support - don't turn it into a mob attack.
    • No Stalking or Sexual Harassment: Do not repeatedly contact someone who has asked you to stop. Don't send unwanted sexual messages or make lewd comments about someone who isn't okay with it. Creators on BTS should feel safe; fans should respect boundaries. If someone blocks you or ignores you, take the hint and move on.

No Impersonation or Fraud: You may not impersonate any person or organization on BTS. This means you cannot create an account pretending to be another creator, a celebrity, a BTS staff member, or any person other than yourself. Parody is only allowed if it's clearly a parody (and not used to deceive or harm). Also, don't claim false credentials or identities - for example, don't say you are a "certified trainer" if you are not, or don't falsely claim to represent a company. This extends to content as well: don't post doctored images or deepfakes of people in a way that could mislead or damage them (especially not in explicit content, which would be a huge violation of consent and privacy). Any kind of scam or fraud scheme is prohibited: you cannot use BTS to trick people out of money or personal information. If you're raising funds or selling content, be honest about what people are getting. Always deliver the content that someone paid for; ripping off users will result in your removal from the platform.

No Illegal or Regulated Activities: BTS is not a place to engage in illegal activities or transactions. Specifically:

    • No Drug Trafficking or Promotion of Illegal Drug Use: You cannot sell or buy illegal drugs via BTS, nor can you post content instructing how to make illegal drugs. Discussing personal experiences or advocating for reform is one thing; actively facilitating illicit drug trade is forbidden. (Note: In some places certain substances are legal - you must still follow our policies. For example, content about legal cannabis use is allowed if it's educational or personal, but it should not target minors or encourage irresponsible use. Any depiction of illegal drug use or encouragement thereof is not allowed.)
    • No Weapons Sales or Promotion: Do not use BTS to sell firearms or other deadly weapons. Showing weapons in content (like in a hunting video or a fiction story) is allowed if it's in a safe and legal context. But you cannot promote violence or give instructions for making weapons (like 3D-printing guns or building bombs - definitely not allowed).
    • No Criminal Activity or Instructions: You can't coordinate crimes on BTS. That includes things like hacking, fraud, or violence. Also, do not post guides or advice on how to commit crimes (e.g., lockpicking to burglarize, how to evade law enforcement, how to forge documents, etc.). Such content will be removed and possibly forwarded to law enforcement.
    • No Extremism or Terrorist Content: As noted, content from or in support of terrorist or hate groups is banned. You cannot praise terrorist attacks or encourage people to join extremist causes. Historical or educational content about these topics must be presented with great care and clear context that you are not endorsing the extremist views.
    • No Animal Cruelty: Content that depicts extreme violence or cruelty toward animals is not allowed unless it's clearly for educational/documentary purposes to raise awareness (and even then, it might be restricted or require a warning). We do not allow content that glorifies animal abuse or encourages it. Bestiality (sexual content with animals) is completely banned, as mentioned earlier.
    • No Self-Harm Promotion: While you can share personal stories of mental health struggles to seek support or raise awareness, you cannot encourage others to self-harm or share content that instructs or glorifies suicide, self-mutilation, eating disorders, etc. If we find content that suggests someone is at immediate risk, we may intervene or provide resources for help.

No Extreme Violence or Gore: Graphic content that is excessively violent, gory, or horror-oriented should be handled with discretion. If there is a legitimate context (like a documentary about war or a horror short film you made with special effects), it may be allowed with a content warning. However, content that is just gratuitous gore or actual violence (like real fights, animal abuse, or extremely graphic injury/death footage) is not allowed. We do not permit any snuff content or anything that appears to depict actual murder or torture. Violent content that glorifies or eroticizes violence is especially forbidden. Basically, if it's something that would be rated adult-only for extreme violence, don't share it on BTS unless it's newsworthy or educational and you have permission and properly warn viewers. Even then, we reserve the right to remove or restrict such content to protect viewers, especially in countries that have strict standards on violent material.

No Spam, Phishing, or Malicious Content: Spam is not only annoying, it can also violate telecommunications laws in some countries. On BTS, spam could mean posting repetitive comments like "Watch my profile!" on dozens of creators' pages, or sending mass unsolicited messages. It also includes posting irrelevant content just to advertise something unrelated to your channel or to manipulate trends. Don't do it. Phishing refers to trying to trick users into giving up sensitive info (passwords, credit cards, etc.) by pretending to be an official source - obviously forbidden on BTS. Likewise, do not upload any malware, viruses, or malicious code in the guise of a file or link. Any attempt to compromise the security of the platform or our users' accounts is taken extremely seriously and will result in a ban and possibly legal consequences.

No Circumventing Platform Rules or Systems: This is a catch-all for any attempt to get around our rules or abuse our systems. For instance, do not:

    • Evade bans or blocks by creating new accounts. If your account is suspended, respect that decision and go through the proper appeal channel rather than just making a new account (which will also be shut down once detected).
    • Use bots or scripts to automate actions on BTS (like mass following, scraping content, etc.) in a way that hasn't been approved. Our platform is meant for genuine human interaction.
    • Artificially inflate view counts or other metrics. Fraudulently boosting your engagement violates our trust and can affect payouts and platform integrity.
    • Try to conduct transactions off-platform to avoid fees. For example, don't post something like "Pay me via PayPal and I'll send you the file so we avoid BTS fees." This not only undermines our service (which is against the Terms you agreed to) but is also unsafe - we cannot protect transactions that happen off of BTS. Keep it on BTS; remember creators, you're already getting a very favorable 90% split here.
    • Share your account with others or transfer it without permission. Your account is yours alone; you're responsible for what happens on it. Don't let a banned user use your account, and don't sell your account or invites.

Respect Content Boundaries: If a creator designates certain rules for their own content (for example, "do not share these images outside this page"), respect those rules as well. While this isn't so much a separate rule as it is courtesy combined with our existing policies (like privacy and IP rights), we want to emphasize that paid content on BTS is exclusive. Taking a creator's paid content and posting it publicly or sharing it with non-paying individuals is a violation of the creator's rights and our terms. It can result in your account being terminated for theft of content. In short: enjoy the exclusive content you pay for, but don't distribute it without permission.

If you encounter content or behavior on BTS that falls into any of these "Not Allowed" categories, please report it to us. We rely on community vigilance as well as our own monitoring. We will review the report and take appropriate action promptly.

Staying away from all the above prohibited areas will keep you on the right track. We understand that some of these rules are nuanced; if you're not sure whether something is allowed or not, feel free to ask the BTS support team before posting. We'd rather help you avoid a violation than have to issue a warning or suspension after the fact.

    Privacy & Data Protection

Trust is currency. We protect your data, your identity, and your content. In return, don't mess with anyone else's. Privacy goes both ways—break it, and you're gone.

Our Commitment to Your Privacy: GREENROOM CO and the BTS platform are fully committed to respecting your privacy and handling your data responsibly.

    • We only collect data that is necessary to run the service and to comply with legal obligations (such as age verification for adult content, or tax information for payouts). This may include your name, contact information, birthdate, payment info, etc. We handle this data in line with strict privacy laws (like GDPR in the EU, and similar principles elsewhere).
    • We do not sell your personal information to third-party marketers. Your info is used to enhance your experience on BTS, to process transactions, and to keep the community safe (for example, using your ID verification to confirm you're an adult).
    • We store personal data securely using industry-standard encryption and security practices. For instance, payment information is processed by secure third-party payment processors; we don't keep your full credit card details on our servers.
    • If we ever need to share your data (for example, with a subcontractor who helps us operate the platform, or if required by law enforcement with the proper authority), we do so under strict confidentiality and legal protocols. Any partners or service providers we use are contractually obligated to protect your data to the same standard we do.
    • You have control over your personal data on BTS. You can adjust settings on what information is visible to others (for example, you might choose what name appears on your profile). You can also request access to your data or request deletion of your data/account by contacting us at info@behindthescenes.com. We will comply as fully as possible, except where we have to retain information for legal reasons (e.g., records of financial transactions for accounting, or records of someone we banned for serious violations to prevent repeat abuse).
    • We allow the use of pseudonyms or stage names on BTS. We understand that many creators (and fans) might not want to display their legal name. As long as we have your real information on file for verification and payment purposes, you are generally free to use a display name of your choosing on your profile. Just don't use this as a loophole to impersonate someone else (see Impersonation rules above). Using a pseudonym to protect your privacy or brand yourself is fine.
    • Content you post that is intended to be private or exclusive (such as paywalled content or private messages) will be treated as such by BTS. We are not in the business of exposing your private content to others without your consent. We do, however, have systems to monitor for safety (so a BTS admin might review a flagged private message if it's reported for harassment, for example, but we do not snoop without cause). And of course, we can't control what the recipient of a private message does with it - so always be cautious with what you share even in "private" communications. If someone is found to be redistributing private content, they are violating our rules and we will take action (but the fact remains that once something is out there, it's hard to undo, so please share responsibly).

Your Privacy Responsibilities: Privacy is a two-way street. Here's what you, as a member of the BTS community, are expected to do to uphold privacy:

    • Protect Your Own Personal Information: Be mindful of what you share about yourself on BTS. Avoid posting sensitive personal details in public comments or content. For example, think twice before posting your home address or phone number in a public post. Even though this is a gated community, it's still the internet. Use our direct messaging or private content features for sensitive information, or better yet, keep it off the platform entirely if not necessary.
    • Do Not Share Others' Personal Data Without Permission: Just as you wouldn't want your private info leaked, don't post someone else's. This includes real names (if they're using a pseudonym), addresses, contact info, workplace, photos of them that they haven't approved for posting, etc. Posting a private conversation or a private photo/video involving someone else without their consent is a major violation of trust and our guidelines. If your content inherently includes someone else's personal information (for example, a video interview where the person shares their story), make sure you have their consent to post it.
    • Respect the Privacy of Exclusive Content: If you are a fan who purchases a creator's content, do not share it outside BTS. That content is the creator's intellectual property and often very personal. Reposting it on other sites or sharing it with non-members is piracy and a breach of privacy for the creator and possibly other participants. Likewise, creators should respect the privacy of their fans - for example, if you have a list of your top supporters, don't publish their real names or other info without asking. Everyone should feel safe that BTS is a closed community: what happens on BTS, stays on BTS (unless someone chooses to share their own content elsewhere).
    • Use Privacy Settings and Tools: Take advantage of any privacy features we offer. If, for example, you can approve followers or control who sees certain posts, use those settings to your comfort level. We also enforce the use of two-factor authentication to protect your account from unauthorized access - keeping your login secure is a crucial part of maintaining privacy.

Reporting Privacy Violations: If you believe your privacy has been violated on BTS - say, someone posted your personal info or a photo of you that you wanted kept private - please report it immediately to info@behindthescenes.com or through any available in-app reporting tool. We will investigate and remove unauthorized personal information. Similarly, if you see someone else being targeted or a leak of someone's private content, let us know. We act on privacy violations as a top priority.

Platform Protections and Practices: Lastly, here are some of the ways BTS actively protects privacy and what you can expect from us in situations relating to privacy:

    • Privacy by Design: We integrate privacy considerations into the design of our features. For example, when you upload content, we might remind you if it's going to be public or ask if you want to restrict it to certain audiences. We review our product changes to ensure we're not exposing data unintentionally.
    • Anonymity Options: We allow anonymity for fans by default. If you want to subscribe to a creator's content without revealing your identity to other fans or the public, you can. Creators will only see the information you choose to share, but we don't force you to reveal personal info publicly. Creators, however, cannot be fully anonymous to BTS - we need to know who you are for legal reasons - but you can operate under a stage name with your audience.
    • Data Security Incidents: In the unlikely event of a data breach or any incident where your personal data's security is compromised, we will notify affected users as required by law and work quickly to mitigate any damage. We have incident response plans to deal with such situations. Our goal is to never have one, but we want you to know that we won't hide it if something goes wrong.
    • Legal Requests & Your Privacy: If we receive a legal request for your data (like a subpoena or court order), our policy is to scrutinize it carefully. We will only comply if it's legally valid and necessary. Whenever possible and lawful, we will notify you about it so you have a chance to object or seek legal counsel. The exception is if we're prohibited from telling you (gag order) or if it's an emergency request (e.g., police request relating to imminent harm). We prioritize your privacy but will obey the law in situations that require it.
    • Global Data Considerations: Since we serve users in multiple countries, your data might be stored or processed on servers in different regions (primarily the United States). We apply the same strict privacy protections regardless of where our servers are located. If your country has specific data protection requirements (like EU's GDPR or newer laws in California, etc.), we comply with those when handling your information. For example, EU users have the right to access, correct, or delete their data, and they can even contact an EU-based representative or our Data Protection Officer (if applicable) via info@behindthescenes.com for concerns.
    • Privacy and Content Removal: We understand that sometimes privacy and content overlap - for instance, if you decide you want to delete your account and all your content, or if a creator wants to remove something they previously posted. You generally have the ability to remove your own content from the platform. If for some reason you cannot (maybe you lost access to your account), contact support and we can assist in taking down content you originally posted. Note that if other users have paid for your content, completely deleting it might not be possible due to record-keeping (and it wouldn't be fair to fans who bought it); however, if there are extenuating privacy or safety reasons, we will work with you to address the situation appropriately.

These guidelines exist to ensure that BTS remains a safe, respectful, and creative haven for our exclusive community of creators and fans.

By adhering to these rules, you're helping to uphold the values of inclusivity, professionalism, and trust that define BTS. We're excited to see you contribute amazing content and positive interactions to the platform.

If you ever have any questions about these guidelines or need help, don't hesitate to reach out to info@behindthescenes.com. We're here to help and listen.
